Designed With the Angle in Mind
Bill Perry created Just Putt'n Around in October 2007 to use his certified golf teaching ability and his "certified senior" age of 67 to bring the "Art of Putting" to the active adult communities of the Northwest. By bringing his putting program - including putters, putting green, and instruction - directly to the active adult communities, he provided residents with an additional indoor activity to keep fit and busy year round.
During his visits to the active adult communities,
Bill found that many of the residents needed to use a rolling walker to
be mobile around the facilities. The question became, how could he teach
these people putting if they had difficulty standing? The answer
is that the rolling walker can also be used for sitting as well as
standing. Bill purchased a walker and designed the Active Adult
Putter (patent pending) which can be used from a standard chair, a
rolling walker or a wheelchair. Bill plans to teach from the
walker, showing how the putter can be used.
